تهران مصور

Tehran Illustrated was a weekly publication covering various social, political, economic and artistic topics in four periods from 1929 to 1981. The first period was under the direction of Abbas Nemat from 1929 to 1941 in large format. Its articles mainly covered social, historical, humorous and currant affairs topics. In 1942 Tehran Musavar reopened under the direction of Ahmad Dehghan, and after the assassination of Ahmad Dehghan, in 1950, Muhandis Vala took over with Mahmoud Raja as editor, with the colaboration of writers such as: Siamak Purzand, Husayn Sarfaraz, Ismail Rayin, Lubat Vala, Manuchihr Mahjubi, Ismail Yigangi and Sadruddin Ilahi. In the mid-1340s Sattar Laqa'i became the editor and worked with writers like: Ali Asghar Afrasiabi, Hadi Khursandi, Hassan Shahrazad, Ahmad Allahiari and Karim Mirzalu, until on August 29, 1974, Abbas Hoveyda ordered 52 publications suspended, and the magazine closed until September 1978, when Tehran Illustrated repoened under the directorship of Masud Bihnud. In the summer of 1979, the Islamic Cultural Revolution Council closed magazine accusing it of affiliation with the SAVAK. مجله تهران مصور با مطالب متنوع و مختلف اجتماعی، سیاسی، اقتصادی و هنری در قالب چهار دوره از سال ۱۳۰۸ تا سال ۱۳۶۰ هر هفته منتشر شده‌. اولین دوره به صاحب امتیازی عباس نعمت از ۱۳۰۸–۱۳۲۰ با قطع وزیری بزرگ. مقالات آن عمدتاً اجتماعی، تاریخی و فکاهی و شامل اخبار روز بود. تهران مصور در ۱۳۲۰ شمسی برای مدتی تعطیل شد. از خرداد ماه ۱۳۲۱ به صاحب امتیازی احمد دهقان منتشر شد و پس از ترور و قتل احمد دهقان، در ۱۳۲۹ مهندس والا صاحب امتیاز و محمود رجاء سردبیر آن شدند. در این دوره نویسندگانی چون: سیامک پورزند، حسین سرفراز، اسماعیل رائین، لعبت والا، منوچهر محجوبی، اسماعیل یگانگی و صدرالدین الهی با این مجله همکاری داشتند. ستار لقائی در اواسط دهه ۱۳۴۰ سردبیری این نشریه می‌شود و با افرادی چون: علی اصغر افراسیابی، هادی خرسندی، حسن شهرزاد، احمد اللهیاری و کریم میرزالو هم کاری می‌کند و این تیم تا سال ۱۳۵۳ به فعالیت خود ادامه می‌دهد. در ۲۹ مرداد ۱۳۵۳ به دستور عباس هویدا ۵۲ نشرییتعطیل می‌شود و عبدالله والا نیز مجله را می‌بندد تا شهریورماه ۱۳۵۷ که مجله تهران مصور دوباره شروع به کار می‌کند و سردبیری آنرا مسعود بهنود به عهده می‌گیرد. شورای انقلاب فرهنگی در تابستان ۱۳۵۸ از انتشار این مجله، به دلیل وابستگی به ساواک، جلوگیری کرد.
