Radio Tehran was the official publication of the Radio a monthly journal beginning in August of 1956. In March1958 issue 20 with technological advances an more powerful transmitters as well as opening regional radio stations the radio changed its name to Radio Iran and the name of the Journal to Radio Iran the editor, management, format and content remained the same just the name changed. It continued publishing till 1966 when the Iranian radio and television merged in to a single entity The National Iranian Radio and Television NIRT. رادیو تهران نشریه رسمی رادیو بود که از ماه اوت سال ۱۹۵۶ شروع به کار کرد. در مارس ۱۹۵۸ شماره ۲۰ با پیشرفت فناوری فرستنده های قدرتمندتر و همچنین باز کردن ایستگاه های رادیویی منطقه ای ، رادیو نام خود را به رادیو ایران تغییر داد وهم نام مجله تغییر داد به رادیو ایران ، ویرایشگر، مدیریت ، قالب و محتوا به همان صورت باقی ماند که فقط نام تغییر یافت. این انتشار تا سال ۱۹۶۶ ادامه یافت، هنگامی که رادیو و تلویزیون ایران در یک نهاد واحد ملی رادیو و تلویزیون ایران NIRT ادغام شدند.
