Wat Makhām Ratburi Collection

This is one of six collections of Thai-Mon palm leaf manuscripts digitised by the EAP1123 project team.

Sizeable collection kept in two wooden cabinets to the side of the main hall. Collection was mostly palm-leaf manuscripts in Mon and Pāḷi on the usual religious subjects. Manuscripts were kept wrapped in bundles, although a few bundles were nearly all loose, unordered manuscripts. The abbot granted us permission to digitise; he was very keen for us to do so.

Custodial history: The abbot and others we spoke to had no specific information about the provenance, other than the manuscripts were part of the ordinary religious life of the temple.
