This collection contains Portuguese manuscript documents from the Church of Nossa Senhora da Apresentação do Irajá, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It consists of baptismal records of enslaved people dating from 1702 to 1739. Custodial history: The volume was produced by the Church of Nossa Senhora da Apresentação do Irajá. In accordance with local custom and Canonical Law, all documentation of a permanent nature produced by the Parish is transferred to the Archive of the Archdiocese of Niterói after 70 years.
