This collection contains Portuguese manuscript documents from unidentified churches in the Archdiocese of Niterói and other locations throughout the state of Rio de Janeiro. It consists of baptismal records (1709-1844) and burial records (1739-1895). Custodial history: The volumes were produced by unidentified churches and parishes. In accordance with local custom and Canonical Law, all documentation of a permanent nature produced by a Parish is transferred to the Archive of the Archdiocese of Niterói after 70 years.
