This collection contains Portuguese manuscript documents from the Freguesia of Guaratiba, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It consists of a single volume produced during the colonial period of burial records of free people (1703 - 1706). Custodial history: The volumes were produced by the Parish (Freguesia) of Guaratiba. In accordance with local custom and Canonical Law, all documentation of a permanent nature produced by the Parish is transferred to the Archive of the Archdiocese of Niterói after 70 years. Owner(s) of original material: Arquivo da Cúria Metropolitana de Niterói.
