This collection consists of Portuguese manuscript documents from the Church of Nossa Senhora da Guia de Pacobaíba, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It contains marriage records of enslaved and freed (forro) people dating from 1748 to 1810. Custodial history: The volume was produced by the Church of Nossa Senhora da Guia de Pacobaíba. In accordance with local custom and Canonical Law, all documentation of a permanent nature produced by the Parish is transferred to the Archive of the Archdiocese of Niterói after 70 years.
