This collection consists of Portuguese manuscript documents from the Church of Nossa Senhora do Desterro de Itambi, Itaboraí, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It consists of baptismal (1703-1741) and burial (1719-1767) records of enslaved, freed, and free people. Custodial history: The volumes were produced by the Church of Nossa Senhora do Desterro de Itambi. In accordance with local custom and Canonical Law, all documentation of a permanent nature produced by the Parish is transferred to the Archive of the Archdiocese of Niterói after 70 years.
