The collection contains two popular Mandinka Ajami texts: a devotional poem, and a divination manual.
Custodial history: The current manuscript owner inherited the collection from his father, Cheikh Ahmadou Seydi, who was born in Diatouma where he started his Quranic studies. Afterwards, he moved to Boughary to pursue his advanced Islamic studies. He returned home after the death of his older brother. He served as a marabout and Quranic teacher until his death.
