Digital images of records created and accumulated since the late nineteenth and early twentieth century under the direction of Sultan Ibrahim Njoya (r. 1889-1933), Sultan Seidou Njimolouh (r. 1933-1992), and the current Sultan Ibrahim Mbombo Njoya (r. 1992-present). The records consist of official Bamum Palace Records, Bamum histories and customs, lexicons, writings on Islam and Muslim prayers, communal savings records, correspondence concerning Nji Musa’s exile in western Cameroon, medicinal formulas, and notes on trade. The material predominantly dates from c 1912-1953, with a small subset of material dating from 1954-1975.
