This fonds consists of digital images of a sample of Iranian photographs collected by Nasrin Torabi from various sources in Mashhad and Arak, Iran. The photographs were digitised as part of the project EAP001 Faces and Places in Iran: Iranian Photography at the Turn of the 20th Century.
The photographs were taken between 1284 and 1345H [1867-1925] in Mashhad and Arak. This catalogue divides the collection into files based on these geographical divisions. The photographs were collected from various personal and institutional collections; unfortunately, these provenencial details were not recorded by the EAP001 project team.
The collections primarily consist of group and individual portrait photographs.
