This fonds consists of digital images of a selection of Iranian photographs accumulated by Salar Mohtasham between 1896-1941. The samples were digitised as part of the project EAP001 Faces and Places in Iran: Iranian Photography at the Turn of the 20th Century.
The full collection consists of approximately 1000 photographs, a selection of which have been digitised and are presented here. Unfortunately, information about the provenance, context and subjects of most of the photographs is unknown; information presented in this catalogue therefore is necessarily incomplete.
