Most of the correspondance seems to relate to the issue of trial by jury on the island; (4) 1836 letter from someone named Melbourne regarding A.J.'s request for a Baronet, and other letters from A.J. about the baronet; (5) certificate of swearing-in of royal privy council members; (6) letter related to Tamkam house in Madurai, over which A.J. made a legal claim; (7) "The Petition of Lord William Campbell Governor of Your MA.J.esty's Province of Nova Scotia".
