The material in it is presented in the following order: 1) the doctrine of words and their meanings; 2) the doctrine of the five general concepts; 3) the doctrine of definitions; 4) the doctrine of judgments; 5) about contradictions; 6) about appeals; 7) about syllogisms; 8) about apodictics; 9) about the topic; 10) about rhetoric; 11) about poetics; 12) about sophistry. Idah al-mubham is a commentary by al-Damanhuri on the “as-Sullam”, or “as-Sullam al-muravnik fi-l-mantik” on the logic by ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Ahdari (d.983/1575). Ad-Damanhuri (1102-1192/1690-1778) was a shaykh of “Al-Azhar” in Cairo. He is the author of several works on Logic, theory of dispute and a Muslim Law. The manuscript was copied by ‘Ali al-Gumūqī (Kayaev) when he was 14 and 15 years old.
