One piece of paper with very basic information about the documents was kept with the bunch. Photographed just as we received the bunch. Extent and format of original material: One volume 184 folio 1 leaf. Physical characteristics: Pagination: Irregular pagination. In extremely fragile condition. Significant amount of data is lost because of the nature of the damage. The pages are moth-eaten, yellowed, acidic and very brittle. Edges torn. Marks of foxing, fungal infestation, reverse impressions, patches of colour and rust marks are visible. Item was probably exposed to moist conditions. Fold marks were present. Pages are very brittle. Torn pages and edges. Rust marks visible. Writing in pen and pencil. Loss of text due to damage. Few pages could not be photographed because of the termite infestation. Strip of paper pasted in few pages to hold the torn portions together. Dimensions: Different documents with different dimensions. Maximum dimension 28x19x6. 5.
