Tattvabodhini Patrika was official mouth piece of Adi Brahmo Samaj which was established by Maharshi Devendranath Tagore. It was devoted to religious, social, moral and educational topics. This magazine was one of the rarest long running magazine in Bengal. As a mouth piece of a Religious and social reformaing institution, Tattvabodhini Patrika has served a tremendous work towards society indeed. Brahmo Samaj or religion is an intellectual as well as socio-religious reformation movement started by Raja Ram Mohan Roy as Adi Brahmo Samaj and later successfully carried out by Devendranath Tagore. Sadharan Brahmo Samaj inherited these philosophy with more devotion towards society. The library of Sadharan Brahmo Samaj was founded in 1879. This library is having a collection of over 25,000 rare books and periodicals mainly for periods covering 1850 to 1950.
