This text is a Mahākāvya style poetry composed by Bhaṭṭi, divided into 22 cantos. The other name of this text is Rāvaṇavadha. The Prakīrṇakāṇḍa consists of only the first five cantos. This manuscript consists of only the Prakīrṇakāṇḍa. 1st and the 9th folio are missing; Complete / Incomplete: Incomplete MS; Date of copying: Śaka 1761 Bengali Era 1247 (=1840 CE) on the 14th day of the month of Māgh. Custodial history: One of the oldest libraries in the Hooghly district. Sisir Bani Mandir was established at Guptipara in 1917. The library has a good collection of old Sanskrit and Bengali manuscripts and some rare books in different languages. Cuncura Bartabaha is one of the rarest collections of the library. Administrative context: The CSSSC, on realising the importance of copying the collection applied for a grant to the EAP against which EAP921 has been awarded. Calendar: Common Calendar.
