Bāṇeśvara was from Guptipāṛā (Guptipallī) became sequentially the court-poet of Krishna Chandra of Nabadwip, Chitrasen of Burdwan [Bardhaman], Nawab Alivardi Khan and Naba Krishna Deb of Shobhabazar.
