Sanskrit verses on goddess Kali. Written by Mathuresh Vidyalankara (1642). Apart from devotional notes the verses also depicted the socio-economic conditions of Bengal in the late Mughal period. Bengali translation of the entire verse is added in the appendix of the book. Custodial history: One of the oldest libraries in the Hooghly district. Sisir Bani Mandir was established at Guptipara in 1917. The library has a good collection of old Sanskrit and Bengali manuscripts and some rare books in different languages.
