Short biographies of Balmiki, Beda-Byasa, Kalidasa, Sakyasimha, Chanakya, Sankaracharya and Bijaysimha. The book was written for Hindu schoolchildren to teach the lost glory of Hinduism. The book also gave a brief idea about nationalism with discussing those biographies. Custodial history: One of the oldest libraries in the Hooghly district. Sisir Bani Mandir was established at Guptipara in 1917. The library has a good collection of old Sanskrit and Bengali manuscripts and some rare books in different languages.
