A compilation of short biographies of eight famous persons in undivided Bengal. This book contain biographies of Banesvar Vidyalankar, Ramdulal Sarkar, Gobinda Chandra Chakrabarty, Dvarakanath Tagore, Radha Kanta Dev, Ramgopal Ghose, Madanmohan Tarkalankar and Sambhu Nath Pundit. Custodial history: One of the oldest libraries in the Hooghly district. Sisir Bani Mandir was established at Guptipara in 1917. The library has a good collection of old Sanskrit and Bengali manuscripts and some rare books in different languages.
