Malatimadhava,a romantic social play in ten acts,is composed by Bhavabhuti. The theme of the play is original and deals with the ordinary people of the society. The plot centers round the love stories of Malati, daughter of the minister Bhurivasu and Madhava, son of another minister Devarata, and of Makaranda and Madayantika,who are Madhava and Malati's friend respectively. Custodial history: Established in the year of 1961 this library is a memorial house of Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar, a well known educationist and social reformer of British India. Birsingha is the birthplace of Vidyasagar. Many books are found which Vidyasagar used to read and gave a foot note on the book pages. Apart from this many manuscripts are also found. They provide all the facilities which can be possible for a rural library to its readers or members.
