Panchanadisvara Temple, Thiruvaiyāru. South Gallery, South wall, Upper Row

The South Gallery's (Corridor) South wall of the temple has more painted imges of high quality drawn with herbal colours depicting the scenes of the festivals celebrated at Thiruvaiyāru and the surrounding places, processions and along with the plays of Lord Siva. Some of the important temple views are also drawn. The normal life of the general public also debicted in many places. The panels found on the walss are mostly associated with Lord Siva.It is unfortunate that some are retouched and some of the murals are damaged due to weathering. The paintings provide source for writing the social and cultural life of the classical people.
