In the Old Believer tradition Antipas of Pergamum is venerated as a martyr for the faith because of his refusal to stop sermons on Jesus Christ and offer sacrifices to the pagan gods. Binding: notebook cover upon which the title “Canon to the Hieromartyr .Antipas” [Канон священномученику Антипе] is written. 4º, manuscript size – 206 mm x 172 mm; 10 f; Condition: satisfactory. The manuscript was made in the community of Old believers-pilgrims living in the Tomsk-Chulym taiga.
