The Dominical letter // Вруцелето // Vrutseleto [1941]

Paper: sheets of a school notebook. Writing style: half-uncial script. Cyrillic numeric pagination (scriber’s). Decoration: bottom of the hand, it has schematic ornament (f. 1 -21, 23-29, 31). The manuscript contains the Dominical letter [Вруцелето] – a method of mental calculation for finding the day of the week of a given calendar date by using fingers and special tables. Binding: late 19th century, cardboard, textile. Readers’ notes. 1941. (Dating was made by a scriber in the f. 1). 8° (size of book block- 172 mmх 105 mm; binding size – 173 mm х 107 mm; binding height – 11 mm); 31 f; Condition: satisfactory. The manuscript was made in the community of Old believers-pilgrims living in the Tomsk-Chulym taiga. The manuscript has traces of restoration during which the order of sheets was broken (f. 5-11).
