Paper: Russian machine-made paper without labels and with a filigree of P.V. Sergeev’s Partnership manufacture [Товарищество П.В. Сергеева], Penza, had been made in 1875-1918 [see information on the web-site of The State Archive of Penza Oblast - http://arhiv-pnz.ru/before_1917/industrial_enterprises/industrial_companies/f199]. Writing style: half-uncial script by two hands. Decoration: headings and initials with colored inks. Typikon [Типикон] is a liturgical book containing instructions for the order of the Divine Service. The manuscript contains liturgical instructions for services of the Christian feast days of Christmas and Epiphany, and the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul, the week of the Publican and the Pharisee [неделя о мытаре и фарисее], and Holy Week. Without a cover. The manuscript consists of two unsewn notebooks and 1 folio, 8° (notebook #1 – 177 mm х 109 mm, notebook #2 – 177 mm х 111 mm, the folio – 177 mm х 111 mm); 13 f; Condition: satisfactory. The manuscript was acquired by the community of Old believers-pilgrims living in the Tomsk-Chulym taiga.
