Text 1: The text contains palm leaves numbered from 2 to 35; the leaves 9, 10, 14 to 17 and 20 to 34 are missing. This text is written in Malayalam and contains numerous Sanskrit words. It informs on the daily astrological predictions. Text 2: The text, entitled Cauntarya Lahari, is composed of palm leaves numbered from 1 to 9; it is complete. Written in verses, the text presents yantiraṅkaḷ and mantiraṅkaḷ used to various purposes: to get favourable results in litigation (vaḻakku vella), to avoid difference of opinion (pētaṉam), to remove obstacles (taṭai vilaka), to favour courage (tairiyam), to give birth (puttirar uṇṭāka), to increase beauty (mōkaṉam), notably that of the face (muka vacīkaram) as well as to invoke the goddess Cakti under the name of Tiripura Cuntari, to praise her beauty (hymns which are commonly chanted by women still today), and to visualise the goddess by performing meditation (taricaṉa tiyāṉam). Size of the manuscript: 25.0cm x 3.9cm. The palm leaves of the text 1 are numbered in Malayalam between 2 and 35; the leaves 9, 10, 14 to 17 and 20 to 34 are missing. The palm leaves of the text 2 are numbered in Tamil from 1 to 9. The manuscript is in excellent condition.
