The text, written in verses, presents preparations of medicines which are: Dry plant powders: Caruvāṅka cūraṇam and Iñci cūraṇam. Medicated oils: Cemmuḷḷi tailam, Cāraṇai tailam and Poṉāṉkāṇi tailam. A medicated ghī (ney) for treating cough (irumal). Electuary: Cāraṇāti lēkiyam and a lēkiyam for treating gastritis (kuṉmam). Pills: Kaṭṭuvāti māttirai. Calcined white medicines from metals and minerals: Tāmira paṟpam, Cūta paṟpam, Raca paṟpam and Kantaka paṟpa. Stone-like medicine: Liṅka kaṭṭu. A baked medicine (piṭṭu) for treating diseases caused by imbalance of kapam. Medicines (maruntu; not named) for treating intestinal worms (kīripūcci), itching during pregnancy (kerpa ūṟal), diseases caused by imbalance of pittam, scrotal swelling caused by imbalance of vātam (virai vātam), irritation due to colic pain (cūlai kaṭuppu), a disease caused by imbalance of vātam (aṇal vātam), non-healing ulcers (ārāta puṇ) and impotence in males (tātu puṣṭi).
