Title in original script: பல திரட்டு The manuscript is formed by a text which is made up of palm leaves numbered from 1 to 26 and a leaf without a number. The text is incomplete. The manuscript, very fragile, is in bad state. The leaves are broken and some parts of them are missing; scripts on some leaves are damaged by mould and fungus. The text entitled Pala Tiraṭṭu is written both in verses and in prose; It presents formulation of medicines. The medicinal preparations concern: Decoctions: Villai vēr kacāyam, Cātikāi kaṣāyam and Nīr kompu kacāyam, as well as some kacāyam for treating eye diseases (kaṇ viyāti), fever (curam), flatus (vāyvu) and diabetes mellitus (nīriḻivu). A dried medicated powder (poṭi) for treating urinary tract infections (mēkam). Medicated oils: Mulaipāl tailam and Kuruntoṭṭi eṇṇey, as well as some tailam for treating sinusitis (pīnicam), fever (curam) and diseases caused by vāta imbalance. A medicated ghī: Kaṟpūrāti ney A waxy medicine: Mātaḷāti kuḻampu. Medicines (maruntu; not named) for treating diseases caused by vāta imbalance, delirium in infant at birth (piracava caṉṉi), poisoning (viṣam), gastritis (kuṉmam) and sinusitis (pīnicam). A medicated wick (tiri) for treating accumulation of fluid in skull (maṇṭai pīnicam). Size of the manuscript: 30.0cm x 3.0cm. The palm leaves are numbred from 1 to 26 in Tamil and Arab; there are a leaf placed at the beginning of the text and an additional leaf without a number.
