வர்ம நூல்

Title in original script: வர்ம நூல் The manuscript is made up of a text containing palm leaves numbered from 4 to 16; the leaf n° 5 is missing. The manuscript is in bad state. The writing of the text is very damaged by fungus and mould and the leaves are dark. The last leaf is lightly broken. The text, entitled Varma Nūl, is written in verses. As mentioned in its title, the text concerns the practice of vital spots (varmam) for which it describes the type of pressure to apply on vital spots to treat injuries: piṭari kālam, uṟakka kālam, aṉṉa kālam and māṟṟāṉ kālam; eṭṭellu varmam, kūmpu varmam, muṇṭellu varmam, alavaṭakki varmam and taṇṭu varmam; and ciṟiya atti curukki. Size of the manuscript: 16.0cm x 3.2cm. The palm leaves are numbred from 4 to 16 in Tamil and Arab. The manuscript is in extremely bad condition; the leaves are very darkened by fungus infestation and parts of text are destroyed by mould.
