Title in original script: தலைப்பு இல்லை (மருந்து செய்முறைகள்) The manuscript is made up of a text containing palm leaves numbered from 1 to 88 and 7 additional leaves without a number; it is incomplete. The manuscript is in good condition. The leaves are, however, very darkened by fungus infestation and those from n°74 have a small part which has been damaged by mould. The text is written in both prose and verses, deals with formulations for treating paediatric diseases. The formulations mentioned in the text are: Decoctions: Carvāṅka kaṣāyam and a kaṣāyam for treating colic pain (cūlai) and fever (curam). Dried plant powders: Aṭṭa cūraṇam, Acuvakantāti cūraṇam and Tiripalai cūraṇam; Kōḻi poṭi and a poṭi for treating colic pain in skull (maṇṭai cūlai). Medicated oils (tailam): Tiri tailam and an oil (eṇṇey) for treating sinusitis (pīṉicam), diseases caused by vāta imbalance and skin diseases (kuṭṭam). Medicated ghī: Cukumāra kirutam and ghī (ney) for treating disease caused by vāta imbalance (uḷḷaṭi vātam), colic pain (cūlai) and carbuncle (piḷavai). Electuaries: Pūraṇa lēkiyam, Tāṉṟikāy lēkiyam and Tāḷicāti lēkiyam. Waxy medicine (kuḻampu): Amukarā kuḻampu and a kuḻampu for treating flatus (vāyu) and diarrhoea (pēti). Pills: Elāti māttirai, Kāma kēcari kuḷikai and a kuḷikai for treating fever with tremours (tuḷḷal paṉi). Calcined white medicine based on metals and minerals: Kārīya paṟpam and Nāka paṟpam; Turucu cuṇṇam. Medicines (maruntu) whose the names are not mentioned for treating food poisoning (viṣam), growths (vippuruti), fistula (pavuttiram), gastritis (kuṉmam), diabetes mellitus (nīriḻivu), purpurea (ratta pittam), oral ulcer (tāmarai muḷḷu), tooth ache (pal viyāti), venereal disease (piramēkam), colic pain in vagina (yōṉi cūlai), not identified (rāppaṉi), stomach ache (vayiṟu kaṭuppu), accumulation of fluid in head region (māntai kaṇai), dysentery (kirāṇi), diseases caused by bad influence (piḷḷai tōṣam), eye diseases (kaṇ viyāti) and cough (irumal). External medicines: a cautery (cūṭu) for treating diseases caused by derangement of vāta (uḷḷati vātam), a dried powder (poṭi) used for treating recalcitrant ulcers (āṟāta puṇ), a medicated pouch (kiḻi) for treating delirium (caṉṉi), a medicated wick (tiri) for treating sinusitis (pīṉicam) and a medicine based on hen which is smeared on the shaved head (kōḻi talam). The text also describes the process of purification of arsenic (aṉutāra), borax (porikāram) and mercury (racam). Size of the manuscript: 27.5cm x 3.0cm. The palm leaves are numbred from 1 to 88 in Tamil and Arab and from 89 to 96 in Arab. The manuscript has an addtional leaf with a note. It is in good condition. The leaves are, however, very darkened by fungus infestation and those from n°74 have a small part which has been damaged by mould.
