Titles in original script: நூல் 1: மருந்து வாகடம் நூல் 2: இரட்டின சாஸ்திரம் The manuscript comprises two texts, incomplete. It is in good condition; a few palm leaves have been partly bitten by rodents. Text1- The text, entitled Maruntu Vākatam, combine verses and prose. It comprises 17 palm leaves numbered between 4 and 46. It describes preparation of medicines with their dosage and method of administration for treating diverse diseases. It mentions a medicinal powder for treating eye diseases and remedies against purpura (iratta pittam). Text 2- The text, entitled Iraṭṭina Cāstiram, is composed of 20 leaves, numbered between 3 and 72. It is written in verses. It describes clinical features of various diseases, materia medica and processes of medicinal preparations with the dosage and method of administration according to the diseases. The diseases which are mentioned are: jaundice (pitta kāmālai), a disease with symptoms similar to 'neoplasm' (malaṭṭu tāpa vippūriti), colic pain (cūlai), menorrahagia (perumpāṭṭu), infection due to retained placenta (mūlai viḻāmal), abdominal colic after delivery (piḷḷai peṟṟu vayiṟu valittāl), wounds (pitta puṇ), and purpura (iratta pittam). The text present the formulation of Karumāti eṇṇey used for treating fistula (pavutiram) accompanied by the magical drawing (yantiram) for facilitating the cure. Size of the manuscript: 18.5cm x 4.0cm. The leaves are from the Corypha umbraculifera. The manuscript is by all the leastained by fungus, many leaves are broken or damaged by rodents. The texts are very incomplete; the text 1 is constituted of 17 leaves numbered from 4 to 46 and the text 2 of 21 leaves numbered from 3 to 72.
