Title in original script: குறிப்பிடபடவில்லை (நயன நிதானம்) The manuscript is composed of a text containing palm leaves numbered from 1 to 44; the text is complete. The manuscript is in good condition, but the leaves are darkened by fungus infestion, somes being very dark. The text deals with eye diseases for which it describes the different types, clinical features, and treatment. It presents the clinical features of cataract (kaṇ pū), protrusion of the eye ball (neṟiyal), glaucoma (viḻiyuntal), karunāka paṭalam (a black film or coats covering the eye) and kaṇ paṭalam (growth of coats on the pupil). It presents preparations of medicines with the mode of administration, notably Kaṟpūrāti tūḷ, Maturāti eṇṇai, Mirukamalāti and Acaṉa vilvāti tailam, Aṭimatura ney, Kentāti ney and Niṟuta ney, Cantaṉāti, Kaṉaka nētrāti, Pañca lōka, Rūtiṉāti, Cukarōka, Paccai and ūṟal kuḷikai, and Kaṟpūrāti ṟālikai. It lists the medicines appropriate to treat eye diseases and the mode of application of cīlai (a medicinal product wrapped in a piece of white cloth) and piṟaviṭai (an external medicine applied round eyes). It mentions the types of eye diseases which are treated: blurred vision (mānta kaṇ), excess of lacrimination (cūlaiyāl tanīr pāyum) and presents some medicated ghī (ney) for treating kaṉṉil piṟapata nōy, erutalai nōy (migraine), a black past used as liner (mai) for eye injuries (kaṇ kāyam) and kiḷavai (not identified), as a collyrium (añcaṉam) for eye dieases such as vari, caneka nāṭi, and piṟaviṭai oḻuku. Finally, the text provides rules (viti) for mainting eyes (nayaṉa) healthy. Size of the manuscript: 35.0cm x 3.3cm. The palm leaves of the text are numbered from 1 to 44; the last one, not numbered, contains some observations of a siddha practitioner; the text is complete. The manuscript has been very attacked by fungus so as the leaves are very dark.
