A large part of leaves present formulations of medicines: Paraṅkipaṭṭai cūraṇam; Aruka vēr tailam; Pēti māttirai and Akattiyar ratṉa pūpati māttirai; Aṇṭa cuṇṇam; Cūṭaṉ kaṭṭu and Nāka kaṭṭu; Liṅka kuru; and Nāka raca ceyanīr. Some leaves describe purified mercury (toṭuppu racam) and ores of iron (pōkaṅkaḷ kiṭṭam), the method to extract mercury from ores of zinc (nāka racam) and the alchemical process to convert gold from nine metals (navalōka taṅkam), as well as provides details about the rejuvenation of medicinal plants used to control sensation of hunger (paciyātirukka kaṟpa mūlikai).
