Title in original script: அகத்தியர் சூத்திரம் (1-4 காண்டம்) The manuscript is composed of a text formed by 213 palm leaves which are numbered from1 to 38, but then, not numbered. However, the verses are numbered and are in continuity. The manuscript is in very bad condition notably from the 118th to 207th leaves whose a part of the text has been destroyed by fungus and mould. The leaves of the manuscript, which formed bloc as they were stuck by moulds, have been separated. They are extremely fragile and easily breakable. The text, entitled Akattiyar Cūttiram, is constituted of four chapters containing 200 verses each; the chapters are complete but not the text as Akattiyar Cūttiram is composed of seven chapters, as indicated in a note of the manuscript. Each chapter approach a different subject: The first chapter presents numerous medicinal preparations by specifying the diseases for which they are recommended. The second chapter concerns astrological prediction (kuṟi). The third chapter is a pūraṇam which presents also formulations of medicines and the diseases for which they are provided. The fourth chapter presents mantiraṅkaḷ used in the field of magic (vētikkai viṉōtam). Size of the manuscript: 26.0cm x 3.0cm. The 213 palm leaves of the text are numbered from 1 to 38 and not numbered; two blank leaves are put at the beginning and at the end the manuscript.
