Title in original script: தலைப்பு இல்லை (மருந்து செய்முறைகள்) The manuscript is composed of a text comprising 105 palm leaves numbered from 1 to 105 introduced by two leaves without a number. Apart the leaf n° 72 is missing, the text is complete. The manuscript is in excellent condition; the leaf n° 56 is however damaged. The manuscript is darkened. The text, written in prose, describes formulation of medicines. They are: Rōjāppū carpat, Cantaṉa carpat and Elumiccam carpat (carpat from sharbat in Persian is a syrup prepared from fruit or flower), Liṅka kuḻampu and Navācāra kuḻampu (kuḻampu is a waxy medicine), and medicines (maruntu, not named) to treat pediatric diseases (kuḻantai nōykaḷ) among them indigestion (māntam), jaundice (mañcal kāmālai), dysmenorrhea (cūtaka vāyu), metrorrhagia (perumpāṭu), amenorrhoea (māta muḻuku illātavaḷ), haemarrhoids (mūlam), scrotal swelling (aṇṭa vāyu), fistula (pavuttiram), ulcerated tumours (kiranti puṇ), deafness (kātiraiccal), hiccup (vikkal) and sinusitis (pīṉicam), as well as to facilitate attainment of puberty (peṇkaḷ tiraḷa). The text presents the formulation of the distillates Caṅka tirāvakam, and Cīṉa tirāvakam used in the preparation of medicines and describes five types of salts (pañca lavaṇam). Size of the manuscript: 15.5cm x 2.8cm. The palm leaves of the text are numbered from 1 to 105; the leaf n°72 is missing. A blank leaf and two others introduce the text and a blank leaf is placed at the endt. Except for the 1st leaf and that numbered 56 which have been bitten by rodents, the manuscript is in excellent condition. Some leaves are dark.
