The manuscript, slightly attacked by rodents is in good condition. The palm leaves are numbered from 1 to 43. Text 1- The text composed of 40 palm leaves starts with a song praising god (kaṭavuḷ vāḻtu). It presents formulation of medicines recommended for treating diverse types of convulsion (kutirai vali vātam, piṟavali, kutirai vali, kākai vali and carva vali) and delirium (caṉṉi); diseases caused by pitta or vāta imbalance; joint disorders (cantuvātam) and muscular traumas (piṭikaḷ); myalgia in hip (iṭuppil vāyu piṭittāl); facial palsy (muka vātam, muka vali); Parkinson-like disease (pārica vāyu); poison by bites (viṣa tīṉṭināl), insect bite (vaṇṭu kaṭi) and snake poison (kērai pāmpu viḻa); eye diseases (kaṇ nōykaḷ, nīr aṭaitta kaṇ), muscular growth in eyes (kaṇṇil catai paṭalam) and squint eye (māru kaṇ); diabetes mellitus (nīriḻivu); indigestion (māntam); 18 types of colic pain (cūlai); bleeding in stomach (vayiṟṟuvaliyāl rattam viḻutal); haemarrhoids (mūla kaṭupu, mūlam viḻa); anemia in children (kuḻantaiyukku cōkai) and in adults (cōkai); prolonged fever (neṭunāḷ viṭāta curam), fever occurring during summer season (vēṉil kāla curam) and during winter season (maḻai kāla curam); jaundice (kāmālai); eczema (karappāṉ); bleeding from nose and mouth (nāciyil vāyil rattam vantāl); 32 types of sinusitis (pīṉicam); tumours (kiranti); dysmenorrhoea (cūtaka vali) and pain caused by venereal diseases (piramiya cūlai); and also medicines to improve fertility (piḷḷaiyuṇṭāka). Text 2- The text, entiled Cara nūl, is inscribed on the leaves 7 (verso) and 8 (recto). It concerns caram, the action of breathing made alternatively through the right nostril (vaṭakalai) and the left one (iṭakalai). The texts providing information about types of caram are mostly varma cara nūl and uyir uṟpattikkuriya jīva cara nūl. It also mentions that during intercourse, if the caram passes through the right nostril, the sex of the baby will be masculine, feminine if caram passes through the left nostril, and neutral if caram passes through the both nostril (cuḻimuṉai). The rise of severe fever of type typhoid or pneumonia under a particular star influence will cause death. Text 3- The text, entitled Cura nūl, is inscribed on the leaves 8 (verso) to 13 (verso). It deals with fever related to severe diseases such as jaundice, pneumonia and typhoid. It explains that if a person, affected by one of these fevers in some particular days, does not recover within seven days, he will die the 8th or 10th day. If the fever occurs in a day considered auspicious, it will stop soon; if it occurs under kārtikai star influence, it will decrease the 8th day, but the patient will die the 21st day; if it occurs under rōkiṉi star influence, the patient will get well the 28th day. The text informs on the types of medicine to be given according to the day and the star during which the fever has occurred. Size of the manuscript: 20,3cm x 3.2cm. The palm leaves which compose the three texts are numbered from 1 to 43. The texts 1 and 2 are complete. The manuscript, in good condition, is lightly damaged by rodents.
