ராமாயணா வைஷ்ணவ வியாக்யா

Title in original script: ராமாயணா வைஷ்ணவ வியாக்யா The manuscript comprises a text containing 37 palm leaves numbered from 1 to 196, and 5 additional leaves coming from three different literary texts, not identified. The condition of the manuscript is excellent. The text, entitled Rāmāyaṇā Vaiṣṇava Viyākyā, is composed of commentaries of selective śloka-s (Sanskrit verses) of the Ramayana written by Valmiki; the śloka-s are not quoted. The commentaries is written in a literary genre of the Tamil medieval period (13 to 15th century) called maṇipravāḷa mixing Tamil and Sanskrit languages; the association of the words maṇi signifying ‘pearl/gem’ and pravāḷa ‘coral’ metaphorises the combination. Size of the manuscript: 41.5cm x 3.8cm. The palm leaves are numbered from 1 to196; numerous leaves are missing. The condition of the manuscript is very good.
