The manuscript is in excellent condition; the 1st leaf is slightly broken. The text provides information on three medicinal formulations: Kiranti cūraṇam, Cañcīvi kuḻampu and Amirta cañcīvi cūraṇam by indicating the quantity of plant materials used in these formulations, and medicines recommended for treating diverse diseases. The diseases addressed are dysentery (aticāram), colic pain (cūlai) for which pills are recommended, haemarrhoids (mūlam) and fistula (pavutiram); hip pain (iṭuppu vali) and heel pain (kutikāl vali); all types of diseases caused by vāta imbalance for which a medicine called Kōṉār akkā as it has been formulated by the elder sister of a Koṉār (shepherd caste) is presented; diseases attributed to magic, bad planet, or transgression (tōṣam) for which a kuṭinīr is mentioned; eye diseases (kaṇ nōykkaḷ); sinusitis (pīṉicam) treated by a medicated oil; migraine (kentāl) for which a medicated ghī is described; all types of fever (curam) including persistent one (mārā cura) for which pills are described; dysmenorrhoea (cūtaka vali) treated by a medicated oil; venereal diseases (piramēkam) described by a prostitute living at Tiruvaṇṇāmalai and wounds due to venereal diseases (paṟaṅki puṇ) treated with a wax-like medicine; infertility (malaṭu); jaundice (kāmālai) and convulsions (icivu) for which a medicated oil is defined.
