Title in original script: மாட்டு வாகடம் The manuscript is composed of a text containing 142 palm leaves. The text is almost complete; only the first leaf is missing and the second is damaged. The text deals with veterinary specific to cows (māṭṭu). The text provides therapeutics to treat these diseases, among them, the use of thermal cautery (cūṭṭukōl aṭikka viparam). It invokes also the positive influences from stars (naṭcatira palaṉ) on cows’ health. Size of the manuscript 30,0cm x 4,0cm. The palm leaves of the text are numbered in Tamil and Arabic from 2 to 143. There are some mistakes in the Arabic numbering. The palm leaf 84 is double. The manuscript is in excellent condition.
