வர்ம கண்ணாடி

Title in original script: வர்ம கண்ணாடி The manuscript is composed of a text of palm leaves numbered from 1 to 16. It contains an incomplete text of 65 verses attributed to Akattiyar. The manuscript is damaged by rodents and several leaves are broken. The text, entitled Varma Kaṇāti, concerns the practice of varma. It details ten types of pulses: itakalai, piṅkalai, cuḻimuṉai, cikuvai purutaṉ, kāntāri, atti alamputai caṅkini, kukku, and ten types of vāyu (wind, air): pirāṇaṉ, viyāṇaṉ, utāṇaṉ, camāṇaṉ, apāṇaṉ, nākaṉ, kūrmaṉ, kirukaraṉ, tevatataṉ and tanañceyaṉ. It describes the 96 constituents of the body (tattukkaḷ), the five elements (putaṅkaḷ), five sense organs, and their functions, and some bones. It describes also ingredients and provides the name of apparatus used to prepare medicines. Size of the manuscript: 31,5cm x 2,8cm. The palm leaves are numbered from 1 to 16; it is incomplete. The manuscript is damaged by rodents and some leaves are broken.
