Title in original script: நூல் 1: தலைப்பு இல்லை (மருந்து செய்முறைகள்) நூல் 2: தலைப்பு இல்லை (மருந்து செய்முறைகள்) The manuscript is composed of two texts, incomplete, which deal with formulation of medicines. The palm leaves, infested by fungus and larvae, are fragile; some leaves are broken or extremely damaged. The first leaf is a prayer to Ganeṣa. Text 1: The text contains palm leaves numbered from 1 to 64. It describes formulation of medicines and remedies for treating diseases. The formulations which are exposed are: Decoctions: Virōcaṉa kaṣāyam, Paṟaṅkipaṭṭai kaṣāyam Medicated oils: Viṣavāta tailam and Arakku tailam; Pūlātti eṇṇey, Kīri eṇṇey and Kaliṅkāti eṇṇey Dried plant powder: Karuṅkōḻi curaṇam, Tāḷicāti curaṇam, Akkiṉi curaṇam, Maṇṭūra curaṇam, Cantanāti curaṇam and Elāti curaṇam Electaries : Iñci lēkiyam, Atimatura lēkiyam, Vilvāti lēkiyam, Kaliṅkāti lēkiyam and Elāti lēkiyam Medicated ghī: Karuṅkōḻi ney, Uṭumpu ney and Tēṟṟāṉ ney; Vilvāti kirutam Pills: Virōcaṉa kuḷikai and uṇṭai, Maṇi māttirai, Vajjira kapāṭa māttirai and Cuyampāti māttirai Calcinated red medicine based on metals and minerals: Aritāra centūram. The categories of medicines recommended for diseases are: decoctions (kaṣāyam) for treating all kinds of fever (carva curam), indigestion (acīraṇam), fever (kuḷir curam) and diabetes (nīriḻuvu); dried plant powder (curaṇam) for treating diseases caused by vāta imbalance among them piṟavīccu vātam, and for stomach pain (vayiṟṟu kaṭuppu); diverse types of medicated oils: Tiri tailam for treating piṟavīccu vātam; tailam for treating bronchial asthma (mantāra kācam), fistula (pavuttiram) and problems caused by tōṣam (bad act, bad planet, error, etc); eṇṇey for reducing enlargement of lymph node in groin region (araiyāppu kaṭṭi), treating poison bite (viṣappākam), recalcitrant ulcer (āṟāta puṇ), fits (piraḷi) and delirium (caṉṉi vātam); and eṇṇey tuvalai for treating delirium (caṉṉi); wax-like medicines (kuḻampu) and pills (kuḷikai) for treating anemia (pāṇṭū, cōkai); electuaries for treating flatus (vāyvu), haemarrhoids (mūlam) and Tulaci piṭṭu for reducing fever (curam); ointment (kaḷimpu) for treating eye disease (nēttira vāyu) and wounds (puṇ); fomentation (pukai) for treating headache (kapāla cūlai) and delirium; not specified categories of medicines for treating venereal disease (piramēkam), blood disorders (ratta pittam), intestinal disorders (kutal nōy), scrotal swelling (aṇṭa vātam), indigestion in children (māntam), regurgitation (porumal māntam) and eczema (karappāṉ) as well as a poultice (oṟṟaṭam); a kaṇṭūcam, a set of basic medicinal products, for curing common ailments; a collyrium (añcaṉam) and a treatment through nostrils (naciyam) for reducing delirium (caṉṉi). Text 2: the text, whose the leaves are numbered from 1 to 30 and among them those from 9 to 13 are missing, describes the methods of preparing copper sulphate (turucu vaippu) and a substitute of opium (apiṉ vaippu). Size of the manuscript 32,5cm x 2,9cm. The palm leaves of the text 1 are numbered in Tamil and Arabic from 1 to 64, and of the text 2 from 1 to 30. Some leaves are missing: 3 and 10 in the 1st text, and from 9 to 13 in the 2nd. In the 1st text, there are two leaves numbered 63 and 64. The manuscript has been affected by fungus so that many leaves are broken or breakable; those numbered 26 to 30 of the 2nd text are very damaged.
