The text, which is complete, ends with a leaf indicating the number of verses. This text, entitled Akattiyar Pūraṇa cūttiram- 216, deals with yoga and esotericism, and includes preparation of medicines. Regarding yoga and esotericism, the text describes the six chakras in the body (āṟātāra viparam), the mantra “Om” (ekāṭcaram), the appropriate methods for practising meditation (tiyāṉa muṟaikaḷ), the rules for performing puja (pūcai viti), and the eleven types of initiation of esoteric knowledge (tītcai viparam). The part explains also the sins and the methods to get rid of them (cāpa varalāṟu nivartti). The medicinal formulations provided by the text are prepared by using iatrochemical processes derived from alchemy. They are: Muppu cuṇṇam, Cūṭa cuṇṇam, Turucu cuṇṇam and Tāḷaka cuṇṇam; Cavvīra vaippu and Cavukkāra vaippu; Veṇ cārai; Veṇṇāval; Nīla koṭuvēli; Liṇka kaṭṭu, Pācāṇa kaṭṭu, Nāka kaṭṭu and Raca kaṭṭu; Raca centūram. Other formulas mentioned in the text are simpler such as Aḻiñcil tailam and Maṇatavaḷai tailam. This text provides also explanations on the concept of kaṟpam (longevity). It describes the appropriate methods for consuming kaṟpa medicines, and mentions some medicines specific for rejuvenation, among them Kaṭukkāi kaṟpam, and oils for anti- ageing (narai tirai māṟa tailam). Finally, the text describes a hill called Nampi, for its richness and beauty (vaḷam). Size of the manuscript 22,0cm x 2,4cm. The manuscript is composed of 94 leaves numbered in Tamil and in Arabic numerals and a leaf at the end with additional inscriptions. It is complete but the leaves from 87 to 94 are broken or damaged.
