It is in excellent condition. The texts are written in verses. Text 1- The text concerns pediatric diseases. It contains 17 palm leaves numbered from 1 to 17. The text describes medicinal formulations for the following diseases and troubles: common cold (cītam), dysentry (vāta kirāṇi and cīta kaḻiccal), diarrhoea (pēti), indigestion (māntam) and atrophy due to rickets (kaṇai) in children, emaciation of body (uṭal melivu), a skin disease with intense itching (coṟi), a type of eczema (tōṭai karappāṉ), an infectious disease spread by salivary contact (ecci nōy), night blindness (mālai kaṇ), discharge of pus from ears (cīḻ kātu), infection caused by birds (toṣam). The text gives some remedies to fight a kind of intestinal worm (tīrai pūcci), and to increase urination (ciṟunīr pōka), a a decoction (kacāyam) against fever (cura) and a gruel (kañci) against inflammation (vīka). The names of formulation of medicines cited in the text are: Muyal kirutam, Kaṇṭūcam, Caṟuvāṅka kuḷikai and Tāḷicapattiri cūraṇam. Text 2 – The text, entitled Caṉṉi nitāṉam, deals with delirium. It is composed of 200 palm leaves numbered from 18 to 217 which contain 753 verses. This text describes the types, clinical features and treatment for caṉṉi nōykaḷ (delirium) and vali nōykaḷ (convulsive diseases). The different types of caṉṉi nōy mentioned in the text are: tāntirīka caṉṉi, ratoṭṭi caṉṉi, kapāṭa caṉṉi, vikkiramaṉ caṉṉi, cītāṅka caṉṉi, kaṇṭaka caṉṉi, ciṅkuvai caṉṉi, piṟalāpa caṉṉi, avaṉiya caṉṉi and kuccaka caṉṉi. The different types of vali nōy mentioned in the text are: piṟavīccu vali, muyal vali, kutirai vali and catti vali. The text, additionally, mentions vāta kuṭōram, pitta kuṭōram and cēṟpa kuṭōram, three diseases related to humour inbalance which have not been identified. Size of the manuscript 21,8cm x 3,0cm. The text is numbered in Tamil and Arabic from 1 to 217. The palm leaf 2 is missing. The manuscript is in excellent condition; only the leaf 212 is broken. The text 1 is not complete.
