Compilation of five texts: Jiao jian, Po yu, Lian du, Cong ren, and Zan cai. Jiaojian:Instructions to send the messenger dragon to the Purgatory to wake up the dead and let them know that the secondary death ritual is taking place;Poyu: instructions to break the Gates of Purgatory. Send the Five Armies and Keau Hu Man to attack the Underworld and collect the dead. Liandu:Instructions to purify/cleanse the bodies of the ancestors once they have been rescued from Purgatory during the second death ritual. They are bathed with water. In the last part of this ceremony, they are rescued and can join the ancestors’ tablet. The dead are bathed, get new clothes, and are fed. They become official Ancestors.Cong ren: Instructions to teach the butler who will take care of the new Ancestors. This book contains the rules to follow: Moral rules, working rules, etc. Zan cai: Instructions to build and open the eyes of the house of the Ancestors for the secondary death ritual. It contains instructions so this house have everything in the three levels. It says what the new ancestors are getting as gifts and ritual payments. These gifts include the horse for the ancestors so they can freely travel the skies.
