Title of the first text: 煉度科 [Liandu ke].
Instructions to purify/cleanse the bodies of the ancestors once they have been rescued from the Purgatory during the second death ritual. Last part of this ceremony in which they had been rescued and can join the ancestors’ tablet. The dead are bathed, get new clothes and are fed. They become official ancestors.
