Ashtami Vrata Mahatmya

This mansuscript is the glorification of fasting ritual of Amoghapasa Lokesvara or Karunamaya, one of the forms of Avalokitesvara. The fasting rituals of various deities has been a very popular religious observance among the Buddhist Newars of Kathmandu valley. This ritual is called ''Dhalam Danegu'' in vernacular Newari. This text highlights the deeds of Lokesvara and significance of observing the Vrata. It is the story that is in Newari language written with Pracalit Newari script. This paper manuscript is damaged.
