The volume records the payment of Police Office Rough Fees and Fines in the Colony between 12 June 1868 and 13 May 1869. It is divided into seven columns providing information on the date, the name of the complainant, the name of the defendant, the offence, the rank of the justice who heard the case, how it was disposed of, and the amount of the fines. It sometimes provides the initials of the clerk. The volume is bound in blue cloth boards, and there are some traces of iron gall damage.
