The volume contains information on cases brought before either the Assistant Police Magistrate or the Police Magistrate at the Police Court at Freetown between 27 February and 13 May 1861. The reports on cases includes information on the date, the names of the plaintiff and the defendant, and a short title relating to the case. In different cases, information is provided on the oaths taken by the constable, the plaintiff, the defendant, and witnesses. The volume also includes information on sentencing. There is extensive water damage throughout the volume, including the cover and spine. There is iron gall damage, and some traces of mould. The project number in the metadata is incorrect.
