An instruction on social ethics based on the citations from and references to stories from the jātakas, Dhammapada-aṭṭhakathā, Hitopadesa, poems of Mahāsīlavaṃsa and Raṭṭhasāra, and Burmese historiographic works. So far, the Hitasiddhi Maṇiratanā kyamʻʺ has been credited to Toṅʻ tvaṅʻʺ maṅʻʺ kyoṅʻʺ Charā toʻ, however, the colophon of this version of the text omits a reference to its being composed at the request of Toṅʻ tvaṅʻʺ mruiʹ sū krīʺ Maṅʻʺ Lakʻ Yā Vaḍḍhana (cf. f. paṃ r and a quote from f. gā of the ms Cod.ms.Birm.112 from SUB HSD reproduced in the Burmese Manuscripts, vol. 2, p. 223-4), gives a date of composition that postdates the commonly accepted death date of Toṅʻ tvaṅʻʺ maṅʻʺ kyoṅʻʺ Charā toʻ (1137 vs 1124, f. paṃ v) and mentions the contribution of Re ca kyui rvā Kye mokʻ kyoṅʻʺ Phunʻʺ toʻ krīʺ in a part of the text following the colophon (see f. pāʺ v). Perhaps, WL-HL-KMT 006.11 is a version of the work of Toṅʻ tvaṅʻʺ maṅʻʺ kyoṅʻʺ Charā toʻ that has been edited or supplemented by Re ca kyui rvā Kye mokʻ kyoṅʻʺ Phunʻʺ toʻ krīʺ in 1137 (1775/6). According to the definition given by Re ca kyui rvā Kye mokʻ kyoṅʻʺ Phunʻʺ toʻ krīʺ, the work belongs to the genre of phatʻ cā (that is a reading providing moral guidance for worldly success and lay religious practice). Extent and format of original material: 1 fascicle of 30 inscribed folios. Author(s) of original material: Re ca kyui rvā Kye mokʻ kyoṅʻʺ Phunʻʺ toʻ krīʺ.
